About EKB

The vast collection of online educational resources known as the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB) is available to all Egyptians for free. EKB provides videos, articles, and other types of resources to help Egyptians of all ages develop their knowledge and skills relevant to the 21st century.

EKB in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education offers many sources of educational and research information materials in Arabic and English from the largest publishing houses in the world, which is suitable for all age groups. The available sources vary from stories and audio-visual products for children stories to highly technical material, scientific journals and specialized books for researchers in various sciences and subjects.

EKB is an initiative that has been launched by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sissi during the National Science Day of 2014. And through it, the specialized councils of the presidency started to launch several national projects concerned with educational development.


How to register in EKB

  • Step 1: Choose Readers Portal then Click on Next

  • Step 2: Fill Basic Information
  • - First Name.

    - Last Name.

    - Email and Confirm it.

    - Mobile Number.

    - National ID.

    - Date of Birth.

  • EKB Basic Search
  • A simple search can be used to search for (title, subject, author, ...) in all sources of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank

  • EKB result Search
  • Upon retrieval of the simple search, 32,284 results were retrieved

Advanced Search

  • It is preferable to use advanced search to be able to classify sources according to subject matter

  • EKB adv Search
  • To search in specialized sources on a specific topic, select Search Sources.
  • you can select sources covering a specific subject area.
  • you can select specific Publisher Sources.
